Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Lulu Hypermarket, one of the largest retail stores in Qatar, with the aim of supporting entrepreneurs and providing them an ideal platform to display their products in the group’s retail outlets for a specific period through free spaces.
As per the agreement, local entrepreneurs owning start-ups and small enterprises will be able to boost their businesses by displaying their products at Lulu Hypermarket targeting the diverse consumers in Qatar. This initiative will help highlight the fine quality of presented products and their ability to compete in the local market. Registration for participating in this initiative will open soon.
Bedaya Center General Manager, Hamad Al Qahtani said: “This initiative is in line with Bedaya’s continuous efforts to support entrepreneurs and motivate their role in society. During previous years, we successfully joined hands with Lulu Hypermarket Group in supporting start-ups and SME [small and medium-sized enterprises] owners, and today we are witnessing the signing of a new MoU that will stimulate and boost their business, emphasise the quality of their products, and enhance their pioneering role in society by enabling them to expand their customer base and achieve a wider spread of their projects.”
LuLu Hypermarket Regional Director, Shaijan M.O. said: “The signing of the MOU today is the culmination of joint efforts with Bedaya Center with the aim of nurturing Qatari small enterprises and start-ups by opening new horizons for a large number of entrepreneurs who benefit from the center’s support. Qatari products have proven their quality in terms of high merit and competitive prices, and in the coming days we will witness a greater presence of these projects and their related goods in one of the largest retail outlets in Qatar.”
