Doha, Qatar: The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, through its Silatech programme, is delighted to announce the launch of the Youth Opportunity II project in partnership with Al-Amana Microfinance. This initiative aims to provide economic opportunities for young entrepreneurs in Morocco by access to crucial microfinance services, finance literacy training and entrepreneurial support.

Building on the success of Youth Opportunity I, which empowered over 134,000 young entrepreneurs with self-employment, this second phase seeks to address the barriers to financial inclusion, particularly for underserved youth and women in remote areas

By offering tailored microfinance loans, alongside financial literacy training, this project will empower over 180,000 young entrepreneurs and facilitate the placement of 70,000 additional youth into employment within micro enterprises, with at least 40% of these opportunities earmarked for young women.

"Continuing our partnership with Al-Amana Microfinance enables us to extend our reach and impact in Morocco, providing young entrepreneurs with the tools and resources they need to succeed," said Hassan Al-Mulla, Executive Director of Silatech Programme. "This project is not just about access to financial support; it's about fostering a thriving ecosystem where young business leaders can drive sustainable development within their communities."

Youssef Bencheqroun, General Manager of Al-Amana Microfinance, emphasized the significance of this collaboration: " At Al Amana Microfinance, we firmly believe in the transformative power of financial inclusion. This partnership with the EAA Foundation will empower thousands of young entrepreneurs to overcome financial barriers, enabling them to launch and grow their businesses. By investing in youth, we are not only creating employment opportunities but also strengthening Morocco's economic resilience and fostering sustainable development.

In an economic landscape where access to financial services remains a significant challenge, Youth Opportunity II underscores EAA Foundation’s commitment to driving change through education, economic empowerment, and sustainable development. By equipping young entrepreneurs with financial and business skills, the initiative will help drive long-term economic growth and social impact across Morocco.
