Doha, Qatar: For a second consecutive year H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Education Above All Foundation (EAA), has once again spearheaded the launch of the ‘Eid Gifts’ campaign. The campaign is part of a concerted effort to find immediate and practical solutions to provide humanitarian support for the people of Gaza and Syria. This campaign, in collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), aims to collect brand-new clothes and school bags for the people of Gaza and Syria during the holy month of Ramadan.

The campaign will begin on March 5 and continue until March 20. Collection points in strategic locations across Qatar are set up to collect new clothes at Education City (Minaretein Center, Al-Mujadilah Center & Mosque), Hyatt Plaza, Al Khor Mall, Place Vendome Mall, 3 Mayoral stores and 9 of the LuLu Hypermarkets.

The community is encouraged to participate by purchasing and donating new clothes and school bags at the participating retail locations, where donations are facilitated directly at the cashier. The participating stores will be enhancing the donation efforts, offering significant discounts on clothing to encourage more contributions. This initiative not only addresses immediate needs but also fosters a spirit of altruism and community engagement, reinforcing the values of compassion and generosity inherent in the Ramadan season.

Mohamed Al Kubaisi, Acting CEO of EAA Foundation, said, “As we enter the second year of the Eid Gifts' campaign during the holy month of Ramadan, our dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children across Gaza and Syria remains unwavering. This initiative is not just about giving; it is a profound testament to our collective commitment to humanity and the welfare of children, amplified by the spirit of generosity that Ramadan inspires. With robust support from our partners, we continue to extend a hand of solidarity and hope. The enthusiasm and generosity of our communities during this sacred month will empower us to bring joy and dignity to these children’s lives, aligning perfectly with the values of compassion and charity that Ramadan embodies."

Faisal Al-Emadi, QRCS Secretary-General, praised the initiative by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser. “This cooperation between QRCS and EAA Foundation builds on our joint successes in the past, as part of Qatar’s outreach to poor and affected people everywhere, especially in Gaza and Syria, where QRCS is redoubling its relief efforts to alleviate their suffering and put a smile on the faces of their children,” added Mr. Al-Emadi. “We are confident that the benevolent people of Qatar will flock to donate to this campaign, which we hope will continue in the coming years, towards the ultimate goal of creating nurturing conditions and a safe and decent life for children.”
