Four Seasons Hotel Doha, an award-winning oasis-like property in the heart of Doha, has ushered in the New Year with the debut of the Magical Desert Dining Experience.

Capturing the romance and allure of the desert, yet conveniently located in the heart of the cosmopolitan city, the Magical Desert Dining Experience showcases Qatar’s rich cultural traditions and captivates the senses with an authentic dining experience to gather with family and friends.

Located on the hotel’s private beach along the Arabian Gulf, and set under a traditional Bedouin-style tent, the dinner is the only hotel experience of its kind in Doha.

A feast for the senses, this experience showcases centuries-old traditional culinary techniques. Curated by Head Arabic Chef Adnan Al Amari, a true master of his craft, the expansive menu features traditional Qatari cuisine expertly grilled by Chef Amari in an authentic underground Zarb, or Earth oven.

The menu highlights include cold and hot mezzeh, including hummus beetroot moutabel, eggplant babaghanoush, yogurt with cucumber; meet and cheese samboussek, and fried lamb kibbeh with mint yogurt dips.

Main courses include Whole Lamb cooked underground with Machbus rice and smoked vegetables, Saloona with traditional spiced meets and vegetable broth, Madrouba with rice cooked with mild, butter and flavoured with cardamom stewed along with mashed beans.

Dessert includes Lazagiat – fresh Saj bread with Arabic ghee sugar and halawah, Balaleet vermicelli with Saffron, date pudding with pistachio ice cream, and Luqaimat.

Paying homage to Bedouin culture, the elegant tent features rich textiles and traditional Arabic patterns, along with a decorative chandelier, creating an authentic and intimate setting on the Resort’s sandy beach.

Echoing the mystique of the desert, the dinner experience is located around a bon fire and commences with a traditional Arabic welcome, followed by tea and coffee service.

The Magical Bedouin Experience is available year-round excluding summer months. The starlit dinner is QR6,000 for 4 persons and additional QR1,000 for extra person. The tent can accommodate to 12 guests.
