Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education will celebrate the World Teachers’ Day tomorrow, under the slogan ‘Messenger of Knowledge.. Thank you’.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education observes the day annually in appreciation of the role of teachers and their efforts in the educational system in the State of Qatar. This year, the Ministry will honour 100 male and female teachers who have spent more than 30 years in the teaching profession.
Unesco proclaimed 5 October to be World Teachers Day in 1994, in recognition of the teachers’ essential role in the educational process.
