Doha, Qatar: The Language Center at the Doha Institute (DI) for Graduate Studies announces the launch of the Fall Semester for the Doha Residence Program in Advanced Arabic and Social Studies 2025 – 2026 which is part of the DI’s vision to promote intellectual ties and dialogue between students and professors from one side and the international scientific forums. The program provides a unique platform for academic and cultural exchange between DI Arabic-speaking students and their non-native or heritage peers in a way that promotes common understanding and enriches academic experience.
The program is one semester long and targets advanced non-native as well as heritage students who wish to strengthen and refine their language and cultural skills. It is distinguished by providing an integrated academic and linguistic experience that gives the students more experience in their majors and specializations. It is delivered entirely in Arabic and combines advanced language practice with specialized academic study.
The program relies on the students’ academic needs to stimulate their linguistic and cultural learning while focusing on developing skills in presentation and knowledge production, achieving high levels of competence in the main four skills of languages: speaking, listening, reading and writing in addition to translation.
The program allows the participants to attend academic lectures offered by the Doha Institute through the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the School of Economics, Administration and Public Policy. In addition to the options of having an academic partner, having a language partner, and participating in conferences and seminars held at the DI.
Admission to the program requires an advanced level of proficiency in Arabic with tuition fees of QR9,000 per semester and housing fees of QR11,000.
The application is open till March 15, 2025, and the semester will start on August 24, 2025, till December 4, 2025.
