Riyadh: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation over the persistent and flagrant Israeli assaults on the Palestinian people, including the recent assault on Jenin camp in the West Bank.
In a statement on Monday, GCC's Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi said the assault carried out by the Israeli occupation on Jenin camp represents a flagrant violation against international laws and charters and hampers peace efforts dedicated to solving the Palestinian cause.
He called for a prompt and urgent international action to stop these brutal assaults and repressive practices that led to the fall of a number of martyrs and inured from the brotherly Palestinian people.
Albudaiwi reiterated his call to the international community's institutions to swiftly intervene to revive the efforts of enabling the Palestinian people to gain their legitimate rights in establishing their state on 1967 territories with east Jerusalem as its capital.
