Labour ministry launches online service for companies to apply for lifting ban

Doha: The Ministry of Development, Labour and Social Affairs announced the launch of online service where companies can apply to lift their ban.
Companies can request for this service only through the website of the Ministry from Sunday, November 5, 2017 provided they satisfy the following conditions:

• The establishment should join the WPS system.
• The employer shall transfer the wages of employees through the WPS without interruption.
• The number of payroll records shall match the number of employees in the establishment.
• If there is a shortage in payroll records as the worker is outside the country or he has an escape report or deceased or has been loaned to another establishment or has a court case, then proof must be attached.
• The worker should be cancelled from his sponsorship if he is outside the country for more than 6 months.
