Doha: Qatar University (QU) recently hosted a donation collection bus in support of the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS).
The initiative aims to enhance the culture of community contribution and supporting those in need using the electronic app ‘Your Help’ which was launched by QRCS to collect in-kind donations. The bus on QU campus collect donations of used clothes and surplus supplies.
In his statement on this occasion, Abdul Qader Al Selini, Director of Aounak Application at QRCS said, “We thank Qatar University from administrators, faculty, staff and students for their valuable participation in this kind initiative to raise the level of charitable work among community members. QU made the efforts to make the initiative a success.”
It is worth noting that the bags for collecting donations were distributed in the Student Activity Building - Boys, the College of Administration and Economics building, the College of Law building.
And on the girls’ side, the bags were distributed in the Girls’ Halls Building College of Science Building, and Restaurants Complex.
