Upcoming Doha conference to shed light on pathology’s role in shaping future of healthcare

Doha, Qatar: A forthcoming conference set to take place in Doha is poised to act as a catalyst, offering insights into the evolving landscape of pathology and its pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare, according to the organisers.

The 34th Annual Congress of the International Academy of Pathology – Arab Division (IAP-AD Congress) will be held from November 30 to December 3 under the theme “Practicing Pathology in The Era of Precision Medicine.”

The IAP-AD Congress brings together pathologists, researchers, and healthcare professionals from around the globe. It serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and advancing the field of pathology in the Arab region.

“We aim to create an enriching platform for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and the latest advancements in the field of pathology,” Dr. Einas Al Kuwari, President of the Congress and Chairperson of Pathology at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), said in a welcome message.

“We will look into a wide array of topics, ranging from diagnostic pathology and molecular diagnostics to digital pathology, precision medicine, and beyond,” she said in the message published on the congress website.

The congress will allow participants to enhance their professional skills, exchange ideas with colleagues, and stay abreast of innovative developments in pathology. Also to engage in informative sessions, network with experts in the field, and gain insights into innovative diagnostic techniques and therapeutic approaches.

“The plans are underway to hold the 34th Congress of the Division for the first time in Doha, Qatar, from November 30 to December 3. We are very excited about this prospect and to visit this Arabian Gulf country after the tremendous excitement deservingly earned after its very successful patronage of the World Cup,” Ghazi Zaatari, Secretary, Arab Division, Chair, International Academy of Pathology Education Committee said in a welcome note published on the IAP website.

The IAP-AD Congress provides a platform to highlight innovative research, share valuable insights, and contribute to the advancement of the field of pathology.

Abstract submissions are called for a wide range of topics, including Diagnostic Pathology, Digital Pathology and Artificial Intelligence, Emerging Technologies, Precision Medicine, Hematopathology and Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Pathology Education, and Quality Assurance.
