DOHA: Saeed Nasser Al Qadi guided Jessico 4 in an error-free routine as the popular rider was in the spotlight on the opening day of the 10th leg of the Hathab Equestrian Tour yesterday.

At the state-of-the-art Al Shaqab Indoor Arena, Jessico 4 completed the task in 61.39 seconds to win the top prize of the day worth QR5,000.    

Vivaldi K, with Mubarak Yousuf Al Rumaihi in the saddle, was the second fastest with 62.39 seconds. Al Rumaihi got richer by QR4,000.

Mohammed Said Haidan who guided Damorano in another flawless routine, clocked a time of 73.92 seconds to book the remaining slot on the podium which came with a prize cheque worth QR3,000.

Concordiva VH Wilgenhof, ridden by Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi spent a time of 79.22 seconds to complete the task but conceded one error. He came fourth and won a prize of QR2,000.

Jazly, with Jaber Rashid Al Amri in the saddle, rounded up the top five after his ride which lasted 82.34 seconds which included one error.

Earlier, in the Small Tour,  a field of 35 horses were in contest for the top prize but it was Abdulla Rashid Al Amri who excelled on What A Lady Van De Smis.

Al Amri guided the Qatar Equestrian Federation (QEF)-owned nine-year old mare to complete a flawless routine in 33.09 seconds to win the event. Al Amri won QR2,500 in prize money.

Casanova S.C.H., ridden by Mohammed Al Ghazali clocked the second fastest time. The duo finished the task in 37.82 seconds to win QR2,000 in prize money.

Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi astride Al Bareq, completed the routine in 37.85 seconds and got richer by QR1,500 by winning the third place.

Saint Marlo, with Sultan Rashid Al Marri in the saddle and Jalieny Diamant Z, guided by Jassim Mohammed Al Kuwari, rounded up the top five in the QR10,000 event.

Today, dressage events (Level 1 and 2) will be held in the morning at the same venue, followed by the Open Class and Big Tour events later in the afternoon.
