Weekend is the time to relax and rejuvenate yourself for the coming week. It is also the time to enjoy and have fun with family and friends. Here is a list of upcoming events being held in Doha, Qatar.   

Qatar Motor Luxury and Classic Cars Show 2016 

If you love cars, especially the vintage ones, then this one is for you. Gulf Qatari Classic Cars Association is organising the 2016 Qatar Motor Show Luxury and Classic Cars. Prominent race cars from GCC countries and the world over will be participating in the competition.

Family Fun Fridays

Family Fun Fridays are back at the Pearl Qatar with many interesting family activities. Now at Porto Arabia 18 La Croisette, there will be a variety of jugglers, stilt walkers and cartoon characters to entertain your little ones along with activities like kids painting and face painting for them to participate in.

When: April 1; 3:30pm to 7:30pm     

Animal Park

This is the last weekend to visit the Animal Park and see some jumbo sized models of animals such as dinosaurs. The park located near Qatar Sports Club on West Bay has a new visitor - a desert fox known as sand fox.  With the gigantic animals moving and creating sounds, the park also have a kids’ arena which features entertainment and rides.
Where: Beside the Qatar Sport Club in West Bay 
When: Until April 2; 4pm to 11pm and on Saturday from 10am to 11pm
Ticket: QR15 for children and QR25 for adults; QR10 per ride for two to five minutes.

Shadow Puppet Theatre and workshop

The ancient art of shadow play or shadow puppetry of "Frederick will be organised by Maktaba Qatar at 1pm. This theatre will be followed by two workshops for the age groups of 2 to 6 years old and 7 to 14 years old. 
When: April 2; 1pm

Aspire Water Polo Competition 

Though the registration for this fun sport is over, there is nothing to stop you from visiting the venue and cheering the participants. The competition will be held at Aspire Dome swimming pool. 
When: April 1 and 2; 2pm to 8pm
Where: Aspire Dome - Swimming pool 
Tickets: Free but registration closed. 

Chamber Music at MIA: Beethoven and Mendelssohn 

Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra will host Chamber music at the Museum of Islamic Art atrium on April 7. Performers for the evening will be Elizaveta Hesse (violin), Dmitri Torchinsky (violin), Michael Hesse (viola) and Ivaylo Daskalov (cello).  
When: April 7, 6pm

Women on Wheels (Ladies Cycling Day)

The first ladies only cycling day in Qatar is being organised in Losail Circuit on April 7. The evening consists of social riding around the track (single lap of 5.3km); bike and indoor trainer testing; a competitive event of 4 laps (approx 21km). The registration is open now and will close on April 5. 
When: April 7; 5pm onwards
