Doha: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change took action against the illegal dumping of construction waste in a meadow, north of the country.
The ministry’s clean-up came in response to a netizen’s tweet which had shown the dumped waste along with the tyre marks and its location in a video.
The violating company, ministry added, has been referred to the authorities wherein appropriate action will be taken against them for vandalising. The Ministry also affirmed that the meadow was restored to its natural state.
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change stressed on the necessity of preserving gardens and natural reserves, pointing to patrols working round-the-clock on detecting infringement that would then be charged according to penalties stipulated in the law.
