GCC Secretary-General H E Dr. Nayef Falah Al Hajraf meeting with Director of the GCC Criminal Information Center to Combat Drugs, Brig. Saqr bin Rashid Al Muraikhi, in Riyadh, yesterday.
Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) H E Dr. Nayef Falah Al Hajraf met yesterday with Director of the GCC Criminal Information Centre to Combat Drugs, Brig. Saqr bin Rashid Al Muraikhi.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Centre’s efforts to enhance and unify the efforts of the GCC countries in the field of combating illicit traffic in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
Specialised reports were also reviewed that contribute to building effective strategies to combat drugs, protect the Gulf community from this scourge and collectively address its damage, by strengthening cooperation with official and civil national authorities and enhancing societal awareness to protect the GCC countries and their citizens.
The Secretary-General affirmed the full support for the GCC Criminal Information Centre to Combat Drugs and the strengthening of its role to combat this scourge and avert its risks to the GCC states.
