Doha: The Doha Film Institute is planning to hold an art exhibition featuring photos and videos of Qatar taken by the public.

“We’ve got an upcoming art exhibition and we’d love you to be part of it! If you’ve got a favourite photograph or video of Qatar, apply now before October 2,” the institute said in a tweet.

Moreover, it said that they are looking for photographs and videos that “capture” the residents or visitors in their ‘favourite parts of living in Qatar from the past or present’.  The subject for the pictures can be people, experiences, food, culture, landscapes, or daily life.

For people who will submit a photograph, it should be printed smaller than A4 format and be sent along with the participant’s name, address and contact number to: Doha Film Institute, Building 25, Katara Cultural Village, Qatar.

Digital photographs can be sent to [email protected] with the participant’s full name and contact number. Videos should be up to one minute in length and can be sent via WeTransfer or any file-sharing platforms to the same e-mail address provided above. Participant’s name and contact information should also be attached.

The Institute noted that all photos will be returned to the participant once the exhibition ends. Submissions are open until October 2.
