Doha: According to the latest weather update by Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) Qatar will witness unstable weather conditions from today, December 29, until the middle of next week. It further said that this is due to the "passage of an upper-level low pressure system".
Temperatures during daytime is expected to range from 17-26 degrees Celsius and will dip further at night ranging from 13-20 degrees Celsius.
Atmospheric conditions inshore are expected to be favourable at varying intensity in intermittent periods.
While offshore, some areas may become thundery accompanied with strong wind causing low visibility and hail fall at times.
Rainfall is also likely as it is forecasted to range between light to moderate and heavy at times.
The wind will blow mainly at northeasterly to southeasterly direction at 12-22 KT and may exceed 30 KT during thundery rain. This can also lead to a rise in wave heights to more than 10 ft.
QMD urged all citizens and residents to take extra precaution during the period of unstable weather conditions and avoid marine activities.
