Doha: During an inspection drive by the Ministry of Municipality a storage facility of a food company in Birkat Al Awamer area was found violating laws by storing expired food items.
The campaign was conducted in cooperation with Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The ministry said that it received information that a company is storing and refilling expired food, as well as employing a number of people with expired work permits. They added that necessary legal measures were taken by the authorities against the violator.
The Ministry urged owners of food establishments to abide by the laws and instructions of competent regulatory authorities to avoid legal accountability and to preserve the health and safety of all members of society.
