Doha: The Education Above All Foundation organised a meeting chaired by Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, with the participation of ministers and officials of education in Uganda, Somalia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, South Sudan, Pakistan and Haiti, on the sidelines on Doha Forum 2022.
The meeting dealt with education issues with the aim of improving access to quality and fair education, and enhancing educational opportunities for out-of-school children, as the education sector is one of the most important development sectors and is the most effective means of reducing poverty, achieving economic growth, and being the main pillar of sustainable development goals.
The meeting was also attended by Minister of National Education and Vocational Training of Haiti H E Nesmy Manigat; State Minister of Education, Culture and Higher Education of Somalia H E Abdurahman Mohamud Abdulle; Minister of Education, Science and Technology of Tanzania H E Adolf Faustine Mkenda; Minister of General Education of South Sudan H E Awut Deng Acuil, Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education of Sierra Leone H E Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Uganda H E Ketty Lamaro, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training of Pakistan H E Muhammad Farooq, and Executive Director of the Education Above All Foundation Fahad Al Sulaiti.
