Doha: President of the Republic of Kosovo H E Vjosa Osmani visited yesterday the Shura Council as part of her visit to the country to participate in the 2022 Doha Forum, which concluded on Sunday.
Her Excellency was welcomed in the Shura Council by Speaker of the Council H E Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim and a number of Council members.
During the meeting, the Speaker of the Shura Council welcomed President Vjosa Osmani, praising her visit to the Council, and hailing the depth of the relations that bring together the two friendly countries and peoples.
They also reviewed relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them, especially in the field of parliamentary cooperation.
For her part, the President of the Republic of Kosovo valued the relations between the two countries and peoples, expressing her happiness at visiting the Shura Council. She praised the success of the first legislative elections of the Council, which were held in October. She stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in the parliamentary field, due to its importance in bringing nations and peoples together.
Their Excellencies members of the Council and non-resident Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Kosovo H E Ali bin Hamad Al Marri attended the meeting.
On the Kosovan side, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Donika Gervalla-Schwarz and a number of members of the accompanying delegation attended the meeting.
