Al Sadd star Jugurtha Hamroun said that he is proud to stay with the Al Sadd club, the reigning Emir Cup and Qatar Cup champions.
The Algerian star, who was on-loan from Romanian club Steaua Bucharest, inked a new contract with Al Sadd, extending his stay until 2019. Speaking to the club website, Hamroun said: “I am very happy and proud to stay with the Al Sadd family, who I’ve played and won titles within this season.”
The 28-year-olf attacking midfielder who has played in France, Bulgaria, Turkey and Romania before wearing the Wolves’ jersey, went on to thank the club management for their confidence in him and for extending his contract.
“I promise more success with the team and I will give everything I have to give my best in the upcoming period. It is my pleasure to have won the trust of the club management, players and fans,” Hamroun said.
Hamroun made a huge impact for Al Sadd in his maiden season with the side, scoring the winning goals in both Qatar Cup and Emir Cup finals.
“I hope that in the next two years, I can achieve all that everyone expects of me. I thank the management once again for this huge trust,” He said.
Earlier this week, Al Sadd also signed Qatari international midfielder Khoukhi Boualem and their leading goalscorer Bagdad Bounjah to a new long term deals.
