Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, has lined up activities for the celebration of Eid Al Fitr, which will run over four days starting with a firework display on the first day or on May 2.
The distribution of gifts for children will continue throughout the four days of Eid which is aimed to bring joy and pleasure into the hearts of children and their families. In choosing gifts for different age groups, Katara takes into account the gifts that suit girls and boys.
Visitors to Katara will also enjoy interesting performances by five Arab folk bands on Katara Corniche, inspired by the folklore of those countries.
The theatrical performance titled “Halalhm, Dalalhm” will be held from May 10 to 14, starring Ahmed Iraj, Zahra Arafat, Muhammad Al Ramadan, Iman Al Husseini, produced by Ahmed Al Aounan and Fahd Al Bannai, and from Qatar, Abdel Hamid Al Sharshani, and directed by Abdullah Al Badr.
A play area at Katara beach will also be placed where various games will be held.
Meanwhile, Thuraya Planetarium in Katarafi Building 41 will present a series of entertainment and educational films starting from the second day of Eid Al Fitr until the fourth day, with three shows per day.
Among the films, it will screen include 3D Polaris Show, Zula Patrol Show, and the Perfect Little Planet.
