Amir donates QR50mn to‘Haqq al-Sham’ campaign for Syrians

Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has donated 50 million riyals to the ‘Haqq al-Sham’ campaign.

This was announced by HE Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Thani, CEO of the Qatar Media Foundation, through his official account on Twitter.

"Our role model and our guardian, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the country, donated 50 million riyals to our brothers in Syria within the campaign # Haqq Al-Sham, and this is God’s preservation for him.”

Campaign activities were launched at 6 pm today, Friday, under the auspices of the Qatar Foundation for Media, and the media partners are Qatar and satellite stations, and local radio stations include Qatar TV, Qatar Radio, the Holy Quran Radio, Voice of the Gulf and the Cup, Al Rayyan satellite channel and Voice of Al Rayyan Radio next to the Qatar Charity Partnership.

The campaign aims to collect donations to people in Syria who fled their homes in the largest wave of displacement since 2011 and the campaign will provide food, health, shelter, water and sanitation supplies.
