Doha: Complaints related to bounced cheques can be submitted through either the MOI website or the Metrash2 application, stated the Ministry of Interior on its social media.
The complaint must specify whether it’s corporate or a personal, and then choose a security department/police station nearest to the bank where the cheque bounced.
The complainant must also enter both the details of the accused and the bounced cheque itself.
The feature allows both companies and individuals to file complaints about bounced cheques without having to visit police stations.
In 2020, the Ministry of Interior launched an online service that would allow receiving cheque complaints via its website.
