Doha, Qatar: As Expo 2023 Doha approaches, an exciting array of facilities awaits visitors, showcasing the city’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Among the attractions, the Environment Centre & Biodiversity Museum, Family Amphitheatre, Indoor Domes, Cultural Bazaar, Farmers Market, Sponsors Area, and Grandstand Arena stand as beacons of the Expo’s grandeur.

At the heart of the environmental showcase lies the Environment Centre & Biodiversity Museum, a dedicated space designed to exhibit cutting-edge environmental science, renewable energy demonstrations, and revolutionary technologies. According to Expo 2023 Doha website, the centre will also present essential climate change statistics and information to raise awareness and inspire action.

Notably, a prominent feature of the Biodiversity Museum is the exhibition of the region’s diverse flora, fauna, and marine life.

The Congress Center is another significant facility, offering exclusive access to all conferences held during the six-month Expo. With state-of-the-art amenities, this venue is ideal for hosting national weeks with VIP delegations and officials, creating an ideal environment for networking, sharing innovative ideas, and fostering valuable partnerships.

Covering an expansive 7,500sqm of prime exhibition space, the Exhibition Center proves to be an excellent platform for short- and long-term exhibitions.

Families and children will find joy in the Family Amphitheatre, where a plethora of edutainment shows and activities are carefully curated to offer a day filled with fun and learning. In the Indoor Domes, visitors will be enthralled by meticulously maintained indoor gardens, serving as a sanctuary for plantations and flowers that require specific indoor conditions, temperature, and lighting.

The Cultural Bazaar will treat guests to a vibrant marketplace, offering traditional artisanal products and handmade crafts from various countries, celebrating the rich heritage and creativity of different cultures.

Meanwhile, the Farmers Market provides a space for local farmers and growers to showcase their produce to the public, fostering an atmosphere of community support and appreciation for local businesses. International pavilions will also have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their agricultural produce, highlighting the global significance of this event.

The Sponsors Area serves as a dedicated space within the park, enabling sponsors to create activations related to or inspired by the Expo’s theme and sub-themes.

This allows sponsors to engage with visitors while contributing to the overall success of the event.

The Grandstand Arena, with a capacity to accommodate 5,000 people, will be the venue for world-renowned international and regional artists, providing an unparalleled entertainment experience during the Expo.

Expo 2023 Doha Secretary General, Mohammed Al Khouri, in an earlier statement to The Peninsula expressed the country’s readiness to host this event. He emphasised the country’s proven expertise in organising global events, citing Qatar’s successful hosting of the World Cup.

“We’ve been ready to host the Expo 2023 Doha for a long time! We’re now ready and prepared to make sure that the first and biggest horticultural event in the Middle East will be a success.”
