The preparations for the 6th S’hail - Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition 2022, scheduled from September 5 to 10, are underway.
General Manager of Katara, Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti paid an inspection visit to the exhibition site, Katara said in a tweet. It also posted a video of the site.
Established in 2017, S’hail is a globally-recognised platform of Qatar, best known for hunting and falconry. Under the guidance and leadership of its higher organising committee, S’hail is strongly dedicated to preserve and promote the art of hunting and falconry.
The aim of the exhibition is to preserve and create awareness of the rich cultural legacy by organising world class exhibition, larger than life events and activities, awareness programmes and supporting educational and environmental initiatives at both national and global level, according to S’hail website.
“We are keen on transforming into a global message through attracting participation from different countries around the world to this exhibition and meeting the needs of Qatari falconers and hunters so that they can enjoy their hobby at the highest level of luxury,” Katara had said earlier.
The registration for the exhibition is now closed.
As many as 19 countries and 250 companies participated in the fifth edition of the exhibition last year. The participating countries last year included the United Kingdom, the United States, Albania, Russia, and other Gulf countries. It continued for five days at Katara.
The Game Fair, Europe’s most prestigious platform of hunting, is the partner of S’hail.
It is the biggest and oldest ever countryside event and the most desired name for all the hunting lovers across the globe. The Game Fair started its journey in 1958.
S’hail is also known as Canopus, the only star that is closely related to hunting. It is a sign of a new beginning. Every year birds and hunters eagerly wait for S’hail to shine in the sky to begin their journey. S’hail is of great importance in Arabic culture as well. The objective of S’hail is to meet the essentials and desires of hunting and falconry all across the globe.
