Ministry of Municipality completes preparations for a festive Eid Al Fitr experience

Doha: The Ministry of Municipality has finalized all preparations to provide families with an enjoyable Eid Al Fitr holiday experience by enhancing recreational facilities, parks, and public gardens across Qatar.

Preparations included key measures such as boosting maintenance and cleanliness efforts and organizing a variety of activities suitable for all age groups, ensuring a safe and relaxing environment for visitors.

The ministry has taken steps to ensure the readiness of public parks and recreational spaces, including assigning additional cleaning and maintenance teams, providing comfortable seating areas, clean public facilities, and well-maintained green spaces.

Aligning with digital transformation efforts, the ministry introduced an online reservation service for recreational facilities, making it easier for families to plan their visits. It has also launched an app allowing users to access event timings and recreational locations conveniently.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Director of the Public Parks Department at the Ministry of Municipality, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sada, confirmed that all public parks are fully prepared to welcome visitors during the Eid Al Fitr holiday. He highlighted the completion of various improvements to ensure a pleasant experience for families and park-goers.

Al Sada detailed the readiness measures, including enhanced cleaning efforts, round-the-clock maintenance teams, and intensified monitoring for visitor safety. He added that parks have been equipped with comfortable seating areas and play zones for children.

He noted that the parks will follow a planned schedule to ensure smooth visitor flow, providing all necessary services for guests during the holiday, wishing everyone an enjoyable time.

General Director of the Municipality of Al Khor and Al Thakhira Abdullah Ibrahim Al Sada told QNA that the Municipality is ready to welcome visitors during the holiday, adding that all parks and recreational areas in the region have been prepared, including essential maintenance work, with security personnel directed to cooperate with visitors to ensure their comfort and safety.

He mentioned that park entry will be free, except for Al Khor Park, which will maintain its entry fee.

When asked about measures to ensure visitor satisfaction and safety, Al Sada affirmed the Municipalitys focus on completing all essential maintenance and equipping green spaces, while guiding security teams to assist visitors. He encouraged adherence to park rules and guidelines for the benefit of all.

He further announced that the Municipality, represented by its Media and Awareness Unit, will participate in the Spring Festival in Al Khor event organized by the Al Khor Cultural Center at Ain Hleetan market on the fourth day of Eid.

The Municipality's participation will include engaging recreational and awareness activities on waste segregation and recycling to promote environmental consciousness and sustainable development.
