Doha: Food lovers in significant cities worldwide always smile when you mention Benihana.
Now you can enjoy the famous ‘Benihana Experience’ here in Qatar as the latest member of this multinational restaurant company that specialises in Japanese cuisine, opened at Villagio Mall on February 22.
The opening event was attended by Sheikh Nawaf Bin Nasser Al Thani, Chairperson of Nasser Bin Khaled Holding, and from QADCO Management H E Sheikh Jassim Bin Nawaf Al Thani, Hassan Ali Al Abdullah, Fahd Ali Al Abdullah as well as other dignitaries and media representatives.
Commenting on the occasion, Sheikh Jassim Bin Nawaf Al Thani said: “ We are delighted to bring the Benihana and this extravagant experience here to Qatar. All Benihana visitors will enjoy the tasty Japanese food and will be entertained by the chefs live cooking shows.”
Founded in New York City by ‘Rocky’ Aoki in 1964, there’s no denying that the name of Benihana is familiar to many as the original theatrical dining experience. Guests are seated around a large teppanyaki table where your food is cooked right before your eyes whilst being entertained by your own personal chef, who not only prepares the food but entertains the guests with an impressive cooking skills and entertaining conversation.
Benihana specialises in serving teppanyaki-style Japanese cuisine, which includes a variety of dishes to suit all dietary preferences and, of course, this wouldn’t be a Japanese restaurant without a fantastic range of sushi.
