Doha: Qatar Civil Aviation Authority has announced the suspension of all commercial flights from Qatar to Pakistan based on the issuance of the Pakistani navigational warning to close the airspace until further notice.
“The Authority will follow the current situation and take the necessary actions to protect the safety of passengers and aircraft,” they said in a statement.
Hamad International Airport has also issued a flight alert on their website.
“Passengers travelling from Hamad International Airport to Pakistan are advised to check their flights status before arriving at the airport,” the alert said.
Pakistan’s CAA said that all international and domestic flights from the country’s major airports -- including Karachi, Peshawar, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Sialkot airports -- had been suspended for an indefinite period.
