MoPH updates exceptional red list countries

Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced an update on its "Travel and Return Policy Exceptional Red List Countries following the emergence of a new COVID-19 variant in Africa."

In a statement on Twitter, the Ministry also announced that the changes will "come into immediate effect".

The number of countries included in the Exceptional Red List has risen to 15 countries. 

These countries include Bangladesh, Botswana, Egypt, Eswatini, India, Lesotho, Namibia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, and Zimbabwe.
