Doha: Qatar Post has announced the launch of a new set of stamps within a series launched for the occasion of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will be hosted by Qatar between November 20 and December 18. The tournament is the first event of its kind to be held in the Middle East.

These newly added editions come under the name “Qatari Football Victories”, which were accomplished by Qatar in the following years: World Youth Cup 1981 (ranked 2nd in the world), Arabian Gulf Cup Champion 1992. Asian Games 2006 (Gold Medal in Football) and AFC Asian Cup Champion 2019. The number of stamps that will be issued is 20,000 stamps, 2000 folders, and 3000 envelopes for the first day.

The price of the stamp set is QR14, QR100 for the folder, and QR15 for the envelope.

Qatar Post will be documenting all the activities and preparations that Qatar is making to host the tournament through distinctive designs that reflect the unique culture of Qatar, combining both authenticity with modernity, making history and shaping the future, as the first Arab country to host the FIFA World Cup in the Middle East.

Another series of stamps have been issued for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: World Cup logo, World Cup stadiums, FIFA Classic (the three previous tournaments), the official mascot of Qatar’s FIFA World Cup (La’eeb), the official tournament poster, and the groups (teams to play in the tournament).
