Doha: Since morning, clouds have blanketed Qatar skies and scattered rain has been reported from some parts of the country including Al Khor and Al Wakra.
On its latest weather update, Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) stated that light rain is observed especially in the northern areas offshore of the country.
This morning, the department also shared multiple videos by its followers on Twitter of light rain in some parts of Qatar including Al Khor. On social media, people in Doha were eagerly hoping for rain to reach the capital city.

QMD also warned that it may turn thundery in some areas as rain of varying intensity continues to be observed. This weather condition is predicted to last until the end of the week.
