Doha, Qatar: Reaffirming its commitment to serving the Qatari community across various sectors, the Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) has extended its support to the inaugural edition of the “Shafallah Bridging Nations: Weaving Connections Through Art” initiative.
Organised by the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities, in collaboration with Bridging Nations and the Academic Society of Arts, Sciences, and Literature in Paris, the initiative was launched in coordination with the French Embassy in Qatar.
The event was attended by H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Environment and Climate Change and H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Social Development and Family.
The initiative aims to celebrate artists and creators with disabilities, highlighting the significance of community partnerships in enhancing their lives. It provides a platform for them to showcase their talents to the public and be recognized for their artistic contributions in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Commenting on QIIB’s support for the initiative, Dr. Abdulbasit Ahmed Al Shaibei, CEO of Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB), stated: “We are pleased to always be at the forefront of supporting priority social causes. We highly appreciate the role Shafallah plays and reaffirm our support for its initiatives. This support reflects our steadfast dedication to social responsibility and to empowering those in need.”

Dr. Al Shaibei further stated: “We are also deeply moved by the inspiring themes of the selected artworks, which highlight the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This thoughtful gesture by the organisers is truly commendable, as sustainability has become a key issue on the agendas of various sectors, including banking. It underscores the importance of a collective commitment to sustainability worldwide, given its profound impact on the future of people.”
