Doha: Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Issues in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria H E Kawthar Kriko has commended Qatar’s progress in social development to become a leading country in this area.
In remarks to QNA on the sidelines of her participation in the High-Level Event session of the 42nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, yesterday in Doha, Kriko said: “During mutual visits and bilateral meetings, I learned about the State of Qatar’s outstanding experience of in the field of social development, as well as the initiatives it is implementing in the field of promoting the rights of persons with disabilities, which enriches and enhances Arab experiences in this field.”
She stressed that Algeria is keen to work with Qatar to cement bilateral relations and cooperation in social development through the exchange of experiences in the economic empowerment of women and the promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities, within the framework of the two countries’ historical and deep fraternal relations and solid cooperation in various fields.
