Children allowed to pray inside mosques from January 29

Doha: As part of the easing of Covid-19 precautionary measures, children will be allowed to pray inside mosques from Saturday, January 29, 2022. 

The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs issued a statement details the measures in mosques to curb the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Ministry also requested all people who suffer from cold, cough and high temperature to kindly not attend the mosque.

The measures are as follows:
- The distance between the worshippers for daily and Friday prayers is the size of the prayer mat (a physical distance of half a meter).
- Maintaining 1-meter distance during Friday sermon
- Opening toilets and ablutions in previously specified mosques
- Allow children to enter.

The Ministry urged all mosque-goers to adhere to and abide by the precautionary controls and procedures, in order to ensure the safety of worshipers and members of society, which are: 
1. Show the application of Ehteraz (green) to the organizers before entering the mosque. 
2. Everyone bring their own prayer rug. 
3. Taking into account wearing a mask 
Note: All people who suffer from colds (cold, cough, high temperature are kindly requested not to attend the mosque.
