DOHA: The Ritz-Carlton, Doha has announced the launch of Sel & Miel, the first authentic French brasserie in Doha, which will open its doors to guests today.
Sel & Miel showcases comfortable interiors with four different seating sections which include the main dining area, bar seating, and an indoor terrace. The brasserie will also offer a private dining room, called the Chef’s Table that can accommodate nine guests. The modern brasserie will be offering a delicious authentic French menu prepared to perfection by Chef Alain Regnault and his culinary team.
The brasserie has one motto: “la joie de vivre”, which translates in English to “the joy of living.” Reminiscent of Parisian lifestyle, the brasserie delivers delicious French-inspired fare with a sophisticated ambience. The design features a marble bar, gold touches throughout the venue and a large colourful mosaic along the main wall. Each dish is a simple combination of flavours put together with passion and respect for each ingredient used. Offering fresh, light yet traditional French dishes, the chefs use quality products that pay tribute to iconic French recipes and cooking techniques. Dishes are designed to be shared along with a lively atmosphere that is sure to create memorable moments.
Amongst these are signature French appetizers, such as the ever so popular foie gras served with mango chutney and brioche toast or as another option is the Sel & Miel Salad, which is comprised of seared tuna, zucchini marmalade and quails egg.
There will also be other French classics such as the traditional French onion soup and the decadent mille-feuille caramélizé, will be featured with a twist as it will have crème chantilly dolce. One should make sure not to miss the signature dessert tarte tatin, which is essentially an upside down tart with caramelised apples.
