Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose by 11.18 points, or 0.11%, at the start of trading on Tuesday, reaching 10,196 points, compared to last close.
QSE index was supported by gains in Banks and Financial Services (+0.36%), and Real Estate (+0.26%). On the other hand, declines were recorded in Industrials (-0.08%),
Transportation (-0.16%), Consumer Goods and Services (-0.22%), and Telecoms (-0.49%), and Insurance (-1.00%).
By 10:00 am, a total of 23.013 million shares were traded in 1,577 transactions, valued at QR 42.399 million.
QSE index closes trading lower
Qatar Stock Exchange index closed Tuesday's trading session down by 28.14 points, or 0.28 percent, finishing at 10,157.56 points.
During the session, 126,690,062 shares were traded, with a total value of QR 313,415,686.764, resulting from 14,749 transactions across all sectors.
The shares of 10 companies rose, while the shares of 37 others declined, with three companies maintaining their previous closing prices.
At the end of the trading session, the market capitalization stood at QR 596,438,859,576.294 compared to QR 598,159,234,663.115 in the previous session.
