FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 visitors will have a host of accommodation options, including hotels, apartments, villas, fan villages and cruise ship cabins. They can also stay with friends and relatives during the tournament, according to the Hayya portal.
In the FAQ section, Hayya portal said that one individual can invite up to 10 guests.
“Your host will need to register your accommodation within the Hayya portal. Currently, up to 10 individuals can be invited as guests by a single host during the tournament. Further information about this will be communicated in due course,” it said.
It has also clarified that fans can book their accommodation through Qatar Accommodation Agency 2022 and as well as via hotel or holiday websites or other means, such as holiday letting portals. The Official Accommodation Agency website offers a one-stop shop to a host of accommodation options, including apartments, villas, fan villages and cruise ship cabins.
“You are welcome to book accommodation via hotel-holiday websites or other means, such as holiday letting portals. Please note that all holiday home owners are encouraged to have a Qatar Tourism license,” it said and indicated that Agency 2022 will offer a range of accommodation options at fair prices.
After purchasing tickets, fans should apply for a Hayya Card, which will be mandatory to attend matches. For visitors to Qatar, accommodation validation is mandatory in order to complete the Hayya Card application for fans who wish to stay in the country for more than 24 hours. “Entry to Qatar during tournament time will not be possible without a valid Hayya Card,” clarified the portal.
The Hayya Card will provide entry to a stadium (with a valid match ticket), entry to Qatar (for international fans), access to public transport on match days and smart journey planning (via the Hayya app).
