Ministry of Public Health said the competent authorities on Tuesday arrested ten people for violating the requirements of home quarantine.
The ministry said the arrest is part of the measures in force in the country and approved by the health authorities.
The ministry said it proceeded the cases to prosecution.
The persons arrested are:
1- Ahmed Salem Ahmed Saleh Al Bakri / Qatari citizen.
2- Ahmed Rweiki Ghorban Al Quqaqi Al Ruwaili / Qatari citizen.
3- Abdullah Ali Rashid Ali Al Gherniq / Qatari citizen.
4- Jaber Ayedh Salem Khijim Al Athba / Qatari citizen.
5- Abdulaziz Ismail Youssef Nasser Al Nasser / Qatari citizen.
6- Faisal Abdullah Mohammad Al Sheikh Al Kuwari / Qatari citizen.
7- Ali Ahmed Munser Al Hamad / Qatari citizen.
8- Abdulrahman Khalid Abdullah Al Ghanem Al Maadeed / Qatari citizen.
9- Abdullah Ayedh Khijim Al Athba Al Marri / Qatari citizen.
10- Faisal Rashid Hamad Alyan Al Marri / Qatari citizen.
The authorities called on citizens and residents under home quarantine to fully commit to the directions of the Ministry of Public Health to ensure the safety of their own and others.
The ministry statement stressed whoever violates the conditions will expose himself to the penalties stipulated by the provisions of Article 253 of the Penal Code No. 11 of 2004, and the provisions of Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding prevention of infectious diseases, and the Law No. 17 of 2002 on the protection of the society.
