Doha: Reports are coming in that bad weather caused delay of some flights that are on their way to Hamad International Airport, as well as the ones which are outbound.
Qatar was hit by thundery rain and heavy wind from early morning today and intermittent rains has been reported throughout the day and more thundery rains with strong wind are predicted for tomorrow by Qatar Meteorology Department.
Qatar Airways announced through their social media platforms that some flights are affected due to bad weather.
“As always the comfort and safety of our passengers and crew is our utmost priority. All efforts are being made to minismise disruptions and ensure seamless travel for passengers where possible,” The statement added.
A few passengers were seen commenting under the notification that their flights were delayed due to the heavy rain and wind.

The heavy rain and wind is creating havoc in the region as Emirates airlines also tweeted that Dubai airport is facing many disruptions and advices travellers to check flight status on their website.
