A new Women’s Police Institute will be established soon, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced.
“As part of turning into an academy by next year, the Police College will soon establish a Women’s Police Institute. It will be under the new academy,” said Police College Assistant Director-General Lieutenant-Colonel Dr. Jabr Hammoud Al Nuaimi.
“We have plans to soon announce the Police Academy and its administrative components, including the Police College, the Center for Research and Security Studies, the Police Institute and the Police Officers Institute, and establishment of a new Women’s Police Institute and the College of Graduate Studies, which will offer two Masters programmes in Law and Security Studies,” he said while speaking to Qatar Radio yesterday.
Earlier the Director-General of the Police College said that the College’s new headquarters is 90 percent ready and will be handed over by August this year.
The College has a digital library boosted by several agreements with similar colleges and institutions in Qatar and abroad. The library’s contents are available to students and also to employees of the Ministry.
The Director General of the Police College Brigadier Abdul Rahman Majid Al Sulaiti recently told QNA that the college is providing quality education and training in accordance with approved development plans, to bring its graduates to the best levels of academic and training qualifications and military discipline.
