Kuşadası, Türkiye: The melodies of CineMoon Ensemble will fill the air for their culminating performance today in Kuşadası, under the theme “The Seventh Art & Music.”

Taking place at the historical gem Kervansaray at 8pm, this concert promises to be an enchanting blend of hit movie songs from the 1960s to the 2000s. The Ensemble, a member of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO), which commemorates its 10th anniversary this year, is an integral part of the acclaimed Kuşadası Güvercinada Dinletileri.

Chairman of the Kuşadası Golden Pigeon Culture, Art, and Promotion Foundation (KUSAV), Levent Köylü, shared with The Peninsula the inception of the Güvercinada Music concerts, which started three years ago.

“Güvercinada,” Köylü explained, “is the peninsula after which Kuşadası is named, including a castle on the Unesco Historical Heritage List. In order to contribute to the promotion of this venue, activities that lasted a whole summer in many national and international disciplines of music in the historical castle were started in cooperation with Kuşadası Municipality and KUSAV.”

The harmonious sounds of these musical concerts are set to reverberate through the ancient surroundings until October, captivating audiences from all walks of life.

When asked about the selection process that led to CineMoon Ensemble’s participation in this programme, Köylü said that considering Kuşadası’s status as a prominent tourist destination, KUSAV aspires to have international artists grace these events.

“Merve Kenet Bulun’s being in Kuşadası and communicating with me has a very important role in this. In addition, many tourists from Qatar visit Kuşadası. Cinemoon Ensemble, which is a very qualified and successful group, includes successful musicians from different countries. These are the features that make CineMoon Ensemble stand out among other bands.”

Merve Kenet Bulun, the Founder and Artistic Director of CineMoon Ensemble, leads a cadre of exceptional talents for today’s concert, August 24. Among them are Giovanni Pasini as the Conductor; Lorena Manescu as the Concertmaster; Jihoo Shin, the Flutist; German Diaz Blanco on the Oboe; Kirill Bogatyrev, the Cellist—all integral members of CineMoon Ensemble. The performance also features former Ensemble member Mariya Medvedeva on the violin.

Collaborating with the Ensemble are Melisa Yenal, the Coloratura Soprano; Hacer Ozlu, on Double Bass; Beste Gurkey, the Drum Set and Percussion artist; Ali Ayaz, another Drum Set player; and notably, Levent Köylü will serve as the Narrator, adding a captivating narrative layer to the evening’s musical journey.

Audiences attending the concert will be treated to a diverse array of music, including iconic pieces from movies such as The Pink Panther (1963), Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961), Peter Gunn (1961), Soul Bossa Nova (1962), My Fair Lady (1964), The Godfather (1972), Star Wars (1977), Jurassic Park (1993), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Cinema Paradiso (1988), Oblivion (1984), Back to the Future (1985), The Gabriel’s Oboe (1986), Phantom of the Opera (1986), Schindler’s List (1993), The Mask of Zorro (1998), Mission Impossible theme (1996), and Pirates of the Caribbean (2011).
