Kusadasi, Turkiye: The CineMoon Ensemble, a member of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO), has conveyed a symbolic gesture of appreciation by gifting a Desert Rose to Levent Köylü, the Chairman of the Board of the Kuşadası Golden Pigeon Culture, Art, and Promotion Foundation (KUSAV).

The ensemble’s presence in Kuşadası is marked by a series of captivating concerts. The spotlight now shifts to their upcoming performance, scheduled tomorrow, August 24, at 8pm, themed “The Seventh Art and Music.” CineMoon Ensemble members, including its Founder and Artistic Director, Merve Kenet Bulun; Co-founder and Concertmaster, Lorena Manescu; QPO Principal Viola and Conductor for the event, Giovanni Pasini; and Co-Principal Flute, Jihoon Shin, presented the Desert Rose to Köylü.

The Desert Rose, an intricate amalgamation of gypsum, baryte, and sand grains, is a natural marvel often discovered in arid desert landscapes. Its allure lies in the myriad of delicate petals that capture and reflect light, creating a distinctive visual masterpiece. This singular beauty of the desert rose, growing in diverse directions, serves as an inspiration even in the architectural design of the National Museum of Qatar.

Collaboratively orchestrated by KUSAV and the local municipality, the Kuşadası Güvercinada Dinletileri event spans from June to October, providing a cultural canvas enriched with artistic performances. Among the distinguished performers is the CineMoon Ensemble.

Members of the ensemble expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Köylü for extending the invitation, fostering an opportunity to contribute once again to this annual creative rendezvous. In response, Köylü acknowledged his satisfaction at welcoming back the CineMoon Ensemble for the second consecutive year, further enhancing the cultural connection between Qatar and Türkiye, particularly through the world of music.

Köylü underlined the significance of art and culture within the city, emphasising the said programme in nurturing a culturally vibrant community. Bulun, reflecting on her decade-long association with Kuşadası, commended the city’s transformative journey towards becoming a beacon of culture and artistic appreciation, with a heightened focus on music, arts, and culture.

Manescu conveyed her profound delight in performing before a receptive and enthusiastic audience, highlighting the universal joy of connecting through music beyond cultural and geographical boundaries. Echoing her sentiments, Giovanni Pasini and Jihoon Shin emphasised the unifying potential of music, transcending cultural divides and fostering a shared appreciation for the arts.
