Muscat: The State of Qatar has participated in the ICEF Middle East Scholarship Forum 2025 in Muscat, Oman.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) actively engaged in the third edition of the event that aims to review scholarship programs, in line with national visions in the Middle East region. It features representatives for 60 universities and international institutions.
In a keynote speech, MOEHE's Assistant Undersecretary for Higher Education Affairs Dr. Hareb Al Jabri highlighted the significance of scholarship programs in qualifying national cadres, their role in bridging gaps in the labor market, and the need to align them with global trends in education and employment to ensure achieving the best results.
He added the forum represents a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences with higher education specialists and discuss ways to develop scholarship programs to serve the future of future generations, stressing the importance of linking education to the labor market in a strategic manner to ensure the sustainability of human development in the region.
Dr. Al Jabri also engaged in several discussion sessions and workshops that addressed various aspects of developing scholarship policies.
The event streamlines building new strategic partnerships aimed at raising the quality of education and enhancing academic cooperation at the regional and global levels, with a focus on the challenges facing higher education, ways to enhance scholarship opportunities, and policy development mechanisms to ensure meeting future needs.
