Doha: Qatar participated in the meeting of the Arab ministers of Social Affairs Council and the conference of the Management of Social Transformations (MOST) Programme, taking place in Riyadh.
The State of Qatar’s delegation is chaired by Minister of Social Development and Family H E Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad. The ministers will discuss the experiences of different countries in dealing with the social impact of the novel coronavirus, and the path for policies that aim to achieve a full recovery in the Arab World.
The meeting’s agenda includes other issues, such as enhancing regional cooperation in the framework of the Social Transformations Programme. Another topic on the agenda is determining social policy measures adopted by government as emergency measures, that are worthy of expansion beyond the COVID-19 crisis.
