Doha: The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani held today a telephone conversation with Secretary of the Interior and Local Government of the Republic of the Philippines HE Eduardo Ano, during which he expressed his condolences on the victims of Typhoon Rai that hit the country recently, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
The Prime Minister stressed during the call that, in implementation of the directives of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to send urgent aid to the Philippines, the State of Qatar will do all it can to support the Republic of the Philippines and its friendly people to try and alleviate the damages caused by the typhoon.
For his part, the Philippines Secretary of the Interior expressed his thanks to HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for the State of Qatar's efforts, and its humanitarian solidarity with the government of the Philippines and its people.
The call also dealt with reviewing bilateral cooperation and the means to enhance it.
