Minister of Culture H E Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani has unveiled the slogan of Qatar National Day (QND) 2022 — Wahdatuna Masdar Quwatina (Our unity source of our strength).
The slogan is inspired by an excerpt from a speech Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani delivered at the Opening of 50th Session of the Shura Council.
The event to unveil the slogan took place at Umm Salal Muhammad Heritage Reserve yesterday. The event was organised by the State National Day Celebration Organising Committee. The slogan will culminate activities of QND celebration at Darb Al Saai which is shifted to its new and permanent headquarters in Umm Salal Muhammad.

Addressing the event, the Minister of Culture, who is also Chairman of the National Day Celebration Organising Committee, said this year's National Day slogan was inspired by an excerpt from a speech by H H the Amir.
He said this year’s National Day will be special as it coincides with the country hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. “Therefore, the slogan of National Day should be in line with this mega sporting event, which will attract people from all over the world with different cultures. But we are keen to strengthen our culture in our country and for coming generations.”
He said unity played a great role in taking the country to this height where it secured high position at international level.

“It is our unity that enabled us to host this mega sporting event. Qatari people have been known for their determination since the foundation of this country, which is of utmost importance to nations,” said the Minister.
The Minister of Culture added: “With determination and unity, which is a source of strengthen, we overcame all challenges such as economic, from pearl trading in the past, and political issues, including those related to the military.”
He said Darb Al Saai, the largest venue for celebrating Qatar National Day, will welcome everyone from November 25 until Qatar National Day on December 18, coinciding with the final of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Darb Al Saai will host thousands of activities celebrating the National Day at a new place in Umm Salal Muhammad.
