There is lots happening this weekend, from Ramadan festivities held at malls, Ramadan market to exhibitions. We have made a list of the best ones for you.

Garangao Kids Festival

Asian Town will be hosting a series of activities for children and their parents for the garangao festival, the event includes storytelling, face painting, henna art, painting and drawing competition, photo booth and much more.

MF Husain: Horses of the Sun

In what is considered the first large-scale exhibition of MF Husain’s works, MF Husain: Horses of the Sun is a showcase of over 100 works spanning more than six decades of the life of the renowned artist and contributor to modern Indian culture and the history of art in the 20th Century.

The exhibition includes paintings, drawings, textile works, and films, drawn from QF and Qatar Museums collections, as well as from private collections from the Gulf region and around the world.

The Holy Kaaba Exhibition

Qatar National Library is organising the “Holy Kaaba Exhibition” which is a visual representation of the history of the cube-structured building at the centre of Islam’s most sacred mosque in the city of Makkah - and the most sacred site of Islam.

The exhibit includes more than 50 carefully curated items including photos, works of art, books and manuscripts, offering deeper insights into the history of the Holy Kaaba. Visitors can learn about the stages of its construction and its architectural features and adornment.

This is an open event

Ramadan Market at DECC

DECC will be hosting a grand Ramadan Market for the Holy Month of Ramadan. With more than 200 stall from over 25 countries with 15 plus food and beverage options and a fun zone for children, this is a must visit Ramadan Market.

Tehlaya Festival

The Tehlaya festival aims at offering all types of desserts, beverages and coffee in the holy month of Ramadan.

The festival also includes many activities like Al Musaharati (Drum Beater), chef on stage daily with a new recipe and special activities for adults and children on the night of Garangao.

Ramadan Festivities at Doha Festival City

Doha Festival City will be hosting many activities related to the Holy month of Ramadan, for visitors of the mall, the event will include storytelling by bilingual storytellers for kids at the Angry Birds World Atrium, live cooking demonstrations by Qatari chef Aisha Al Tamimi and Kuwaiti chef Tasneem Al Nasserallah for adults and Henna Art across the mall.

Ramadan events at Mirqab Mall

Every weekend Mirqab Mall has activities and events such as prayer mat design, traditional storytelling, falconry and many more for visitors.

Apart from this every evening the mall offers free coffee and dates for iftar and henna art.
