Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday afternoon.
The Cabinet considered the topics on its agenda, where it took note of the Shura Council's approval of a draft law regulating health research. The draft law aims to improve health and treatment care by conducting health research, providing the necessary guarantees to preserve the health and safety of participants, and working on the correct application of the principles and ethics regulating health research in its various fields.
The Cabinet approved the draft Cabinet decision amending some provisions of Resolution No. 29 of 2020 forming the National Anti-Terrorism Committee.
The Cabinet decided to approve the draft Cabinet decision amending some provisions of Resolution No. 10 of 2007 establishing the National Civil Aviation Security Committee.
The Cabinet also decided to approve the draft basic contribution agreement between the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) in the State of Qatar and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) - for the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) to support the core resources of the CERF 2025/2026, the draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of training human cadres and exchanging expertise and automated postal systems between the Qatar Post in the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Transport in the State of Kuwait, the draft agreement on mutual visa waiver for holders of ordinary passports between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Rwanda, the draft MoU for cooperation in the fields of tourism and business events between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the draft executive program for (2025-2029) for the MoU in the field of environment and its conservation between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Sultanate of Oman.
The Cabinet reviewed the results of the study prepared on the proposals expressed by the Shura Council regarding domestic worker recruitment offices and took the appropriate decision in their regard.
The Cabinet concluded its meeting by reviewing three reports and taking appropriate decisions in their regard. These included the semi-annual report of the Non-Qatari Property Ownership and Usufruct Regulatory Committee during the period from 1/3 to 1/9/2024, a report on the results of the participation of the State of Qatar delegation headed by HE the Minister of Justice in the 40th session of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers, and a report on the results of the participation of the State of Qatar delegation headed by HE the Minister of Public Health in the WHO 40th session of the Program, Budget and Administration Committee of the Executive Council, 77th session of the World Health Assembly, and 155th session of the WHO Executive Board.
