Minister of Labour H E Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri chairs the meeting of National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking.
Doha: The National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking held its first periodic meeting for 2022, under the chairmanship of Minister of Labour H E Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri, the chairman of the committee.
The meeting reviewed a number of proposals and projects aimed at enhancing protection and support for victims of human trafficking, promoting the role of the Committee in combating human trafficking, and enhancing coordination between it and the concerned state authorities.
It also discussed strengthening Qatar’s efforts in combating human trafficking by enhancing the rule of law, and a number of projects.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Public Health, the Public Prosecution, the Government Communications Office and the National Human Rights Committee.
