Education Ministry holds 2nd Edition of 'Digital Designer' competition

Doha, Qatar: In a step highlighting its keenness to develop creative skills, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), represented by the Information Technology Department of the Educational Guidance Department, organized the second edition of the "Digital Designer" Competition for the academic year 2023-2024.

The competition extended at the level of public schools, under the supervision and guidance of specialists in Information Technology, in cooperation with Sakina Bint Al Hussein Preparatory School for Girls and Al Ahnaf Bin Qais Preparatory School for Boys, where 46 schools for girls and 41 schools for boys participated in this prominent competition, with a total of 87 schools and 174 students. 

The competition aims to develop students' digital design skills, especially since it is one of the pillars of educational learning that supports creative thinking, develops students' talents, and enhances their creative abilities in design using computer programs.

The competition witnessed students exchange their experiences and present outstanding and unique works in digital design, indicating the sincere efforts of schools in preparing students and refining their skills in information technology and twenty-first-century skills.

The students' exceptional achievement reflects the quality of the educational curricula and programs sponsored by the Ministry, contributing to the achievement of Qatar Vision 2030 towards sustainability.

At the end of the competition, the Information Technology Section of the Educational Guidance Department announced the results. Several schools were crowned with the first places in different fields, such as graphic design for beginners, design and three-dimensional printing, and advanced graphic design.
